It checks
- Whether you are inside the twelve-month rule, now or on the trips you plan
- Whether you need another visit before you convert
- When the window for permanent residency opens and closes
Temporary residency ends if you spend more than twelve months outside the country. Enter your dates, and the trips you plan, to see your return deadline and when you can apply for permanent residency.
Enter the expiration date on your Admisión Temporaria, the day you first left Paraguay, and every trip since. Add trips you plan to see if they fit.
Add your dates and select Calculate. You will see when you need to be back and when you can apply for permanent residency.
This is a planning aid, not legal advice.
Two dates decide whether you need another visit.
VENCE is the day the card expires. The issue date is two years earlier. The window for permanent residency opens three months before the expiration and closes on that day. You can still apply for one month after that, and a late fee applies. After that month, only a temporary residency renewal is possible, and only until six months after the expiration.
You have to be back by the same calendar day next year. That day still counts. If you left before the card was issued, the first clock starts on the issue date instead.
If your return deadline falls on or after the day the window opens, you come back for permanent residency itself. If it falls earlier, you need one more visit first. Either way, be back by your return deadline.
The calculator only covers the step from temporary to permanent residency.
